I took this picture last year. The kids worked so hard to get the leaves raked up, and so, as a reward, they got to jump in the pile! :D

Happy Birthday!

It's Jeff's birthday today. :D

(Even though he insists that he hasn't had a birthday in years... ;)

I *was* going to put up a few pictures of him today... but then my computer decided it needed a Windows update. And, then it wanted to restart. So, I let it. And now, is says that it can't start because an important file is corrupt.

Sigh. And grrrrrrr....

Therefore, I can't access my pictures.

So instead of one of mine, here's one that Ethan took last year on his little camera.

One year!

It's been one year today since Jeff started at the mine.


We are still so thankful that God gave him this opportunity. And, the bonus is that Jeff loves his job. :) What's not to love about playing with ginormous Tonka trucks? ;)


Since I can't tour the mine, I can't show you any pictures from underground. So, these ones will have to do.

Scary Party 2

Saturday was our second annual Scary Party. It was even better than last year! :)

And not just because we had a spider... (waving to all the fans)

And The Best Hostess still - the Spider Fairy with her very own Puppet Helper.

There was a hilarious "bum-darts" competition (semi-finals at Christmas... bring it on!!!), an arm-wrestling competition, with Jonny Bravo taking it all, and lots of laughs.

I hope your house wasn't too trashed, Spider Fairy, 'cause we want to come back again next year! :D
